Donate Your Vehicle
Choose to donate your car to AutoBay Alliance. When you complete the donation, you will receive IRS Form 1098-C, which documents your charitable contribution.
Obtain Your 1098-C
After your vehicle is successfully donated, you will receive the 1098-C form. This form is crucial for documenting your donation and initiating the employer matching process.
Submit Matching-Gift Request
Log into your employer’s matching-gift platform (e.g., Benevity, YourCause). Fill out the matching-gift request form, including your 1098-C receipt, AutoBay Alliance’s name, and its EIN.
Employer Verification
After submission, your employer will verify your donation details against their guidelines and the 1098-C form. This process typically takes a few days to a couple of weeks.
Receive Matching Funds
Once verified, your employer will disburse the matching funds directly to AutoBay Alliance. Expect this process to take anywhere from 30 to 90 days after your initial donation.
